FA Cup Stoke
I woke up this morning to a blanket of snow covering Manchester and we had an early game at Stoke in the FA Cup. We tried to get my dads car out of the garage and successfully got it off the drive but we live on a quiet cul de sac so the snow was so thick that we could not go any further.
Almost Famous
I have been trying to get to Almost Famous in Manchester for over a year now to try the burgers after hearing so many people claim they are the best they have ever tasted. As many people know I have been living in GBK in Leeds for the past year and apparently Almost Famous knocks them out of the park.

I did not have chance to renew my passport and driving licence before I left for Thailand and then I had a visa attached to my passport I did not want to loose. They both expire next year and as I do not need them at the moment I have finally got around to renewing them at the Post Office.
Snow Day
We finally have nice thick snow in Manchester so I built a snowman with my nephew. I had to pinch some snow from the street as we did not have enough in the back garden and I wanted a nice big one that would last for days. We decided on making a snowman with ginger hair as with such pale skin he surely would be red headed.
Arriving in Manchester
I have landed back in Manchester after a relaxing flight back and this is what I am greeted with. Only 24 hours earlier I was sat by a pool in Bangkok, 48 hours earlier I was sat on the beach and now all I can see from my window is snow.
Leaving Hong Kong
I left Hong Kong heading for England after four weeks moving around Thailand visiting various Islands. I have flown back with Cathay Pacific who were amazing as usual, a great flight with some superb cuisine and a couple of good films.
Chatrium Hotel
I am in Bangkok staying at the Chatrium Hotel which is located on the banks of the majestic Chao Phraya River with the cultural and historical hub of Bangkok at its doorstep. I have been given a lovely room with a balcony with amazing views of the river and Bangkok skyline. The hotel has a great swimming pool which I have just spent the day at waiting for my flight to leave for Hong Kong.
Leaving Koh Samui
I have left Samui Buri Beach Resort on Koh Samui to head back to Bangkok as my suitcase is there and I desperately need some clothes. The last cleaner I dropped them off at ruined them. It was my own fault for waiting until the last minute and then the good cleaner could not take anymore. 60THB a kilo for my friend Matt.
Samui Buri Fire Show
I have just had dinner at the Samui Buri restaurant on the beach and tonight was BBQ night and a fire show. BBQ Thai does not really work, I mean how do you stop the noodles and rice from falling onto the coals below.
