Leaving Melbourne
After a long day at work I left Melbourne at midnight to go first to England and then onto Spain to meet up with my family. I had trouble staying awake for my fight and I was petrified that I would fall asleep at home and miss it.
Nephew FaceTime
My nephew decided to FaceTime me at 4PM whilst I was still in the office. I had finished work but I hung around for a bit to play on the PS3 as I do not have a TV to play at home.
DJ ALex Kidd
This weekend my friend from England was in Melbourne DJ Alex Kidd playing at Billboard and as I had not drank in nearly a week I ready to hit the CBD.
Work EOY Drinks
It was the end of year financial drinks last night at the The George Hotel in South Melbourne. It was the first pub I had been in and also the first alcoholic drink that had passed through my lips since I got back to Australia.
June Catchup
I have not been doing anything exciting recently which is why I have not posted any updates. I have finished buying everything for my flat and nicely settled in and I have my weekends back to myself. On the downside I now have actually nothing to do at the weekends and look forward to Mondays when I can go back into work. It is nice doing a job you enjoy, some mornings I have been waking up at five in the morning and just going into work.
Roast Lamb
I now have my fridge so I am able to buy fresh meat, fish and vegetables from the market and step up my cooking. I celebrated with a leg of lamb and roast potatoes. I was going to make homemade gravy and mint sauce but the lamb looked so great when it came out I could not wait and starting carving away. After letting it rest obviously.
Boxes From the UK
I picked up some boxes I had sent from England but the paperwork did not get updated with my new address so I had to pick them up from my friends. I only had two boxes sent but it is so nice to have more of my clothes and finally some warm jumpers.
Fridge & Washing Machine
I finally purchased a fridge and washing machine for my flat at the Vue Grande in Melbourne. At my age I can not believe I have never purchased one before but I have always rented my white goods in Australia and in England property has always come with them included.
