Benjani scores the winner for Manchester City

Manchester United 1 - Manchester City 2

I have not been doing much all week apart from nursing my finger. Last Thursday I was wiping down the oven when I sliced the top of my finger, I have been in pain for 10days now. If it was not on the tip of my right hand finger it would have healed a long time ago.

Pea Sandwich

Pea Sandwich

I had a lamb, mint and pea sandwich today for lunch. I do not think I have ever had peas in that way before.I thought at least the peas would be mushy like home but they were crunchy. I suppose it is a summer fad that is supposed to be refreshing with the mint but they ruined it and were plopping in the bin within one bite.

Chala from Prahran Market

Australia Day

Saturday was Australia Day so I was not expecting anything to be open. The weather was hot so I thought I would run out to grab some lunch before it got hotter. When I walked past Prahran Market I found the place busy than I had ever seen. The butchers all had BBQ's and were cooking up every different type of sausage you could think of. I was in heaven :)

James Blake - Australia Open 2008

Australia Open 2008

Wednesday night I went to the Australian Open to watch Roger Federer beat James Blake. Unfortunately we wanted to see either Novak Djokovic, Maria Sharapova or Ana Ivanovic and we got Federer. This was the first time in 3 tournaments my tickets didnt work out to be great game, I hope my lucks not turning lol.

Sony Vaio HDMI

Sony Vaio with HDMI

My laptop finally decided to call it a day and committed suicide. Cause of Death: Hard drive failure and burnt out motherboard caused by overheating. I managed to remove the hard drive and plug it into my new laptop so I still have my data. This happened on Friday night and Saturday morning having opened it up my worst fears came true. It was beyond repair, 3 years is a very good run for a laptop so I should not really complain. It was not a good start to the weekend. This is my new replacement and it has got HDMI output :). I have to say a big thank you to Simon Whatley for helping me through my Vista Nighmare.

NYE Melbourne 2007

NYE heat takes its toll in Victoria

Melbourne had one of its hottest December days on record as the temperature reached 42.1 at 2.45pm on NYE. But within 30 minutes on New Years Day, as the cool change swept in from the south, the temperature dropped more than 17 degrees to about 25.

Boxing Day Walk 2007

XMAS Update

Since I came back from England I have worked two weeks and had one week off for Xmas. It seems very weird sat here sun baking when I have just had 3 weeks off work to go to England. I have had a very relaxing week, sun baking and eating well but unfortunately not sleeping well as there has been so much football on TV so I have sleeping most of the day away.

Me,Morgan and Nev at Service Stream XMAS 2007

Service Stream XMAS 2007

Wednesday night Service Stream, the company I work for had its Christmas Party at Eurkea. Eurkea is the building I used to live in until early this year, my flat used to be on the 32nd floor and the company had hired out the 89th floor with views streatching miles over melbourne. Amazing views, great food and it was a good night until...... I went to bed and then woke up hours later being sick ..... for several hours it continued. I was so bad I could not even go into work the next day and I had to call in sick.

Francesca Donn-Moss

Fran Wedding

I find it hard to believe that I have just spent nearly 3 weeks in England. It went so fast that I did not post one single story from Manchester so here goes with a quick summary of my holiday.

The Killers

The Killers

I went to see The Killers last night in Melbourne. The place was rockin, the weather warm and the show was really good. I have been struggling all morning as I've lost all my hearing and about 5L of water, lol. Sorry the camera work is a bit shaky; it was going off big time in the mosh pit. I have several other good videos I may upload when I am back.
