Illuminated Keyboard

Illuminated Keyboard

My new keyboard arrived and I highly recommend Logitech's Illuminated Keyboard. Being able to type in low light is great, not that I look down at the keyboard often but it looks cool and it has PerfectStroke which improves your typing experience. Every stroke is comfortable, fluid, and silent and it is tested for up to 10 million keystrokes LOL.

IKEA new desk duel screen

Queens Birthday

I gave IKEA another chance and lo and behold they had everything I wanted so I got a desk with a retractable side table, chair and mat so I can glide around. I also got myself a Samsung 23inch monitor connected via HDMI and I am waiting for my illuminated keyboard to arrive to go alongside my new $200 mouse which has stopped the pains in my arm. When I went to get my monitor from Dick Smith I asked the assistant what the resolution of the monitor was and he replied pretty good LOL As my flat is not that big I can still see my 50inch plasma nicely which is located to the left of my desk, I really dont know why I bother coming into the office ROFL.

IKEA treat customers like animals

Freedom vs IKEA

I finally managed to get someone with a car to take me to IKEA, I do not think I have been inside an IKEA store since I left Leeds University and to be honest, I am not sure I would ever go back.

Anzac,Australia

Anzac Weekend

This weekend was ANZAC day and for the first time since I came to Australia it fell on a weekend so we missed out on a public holiday. Very Un-Australian depriving us of a day off work, as it happens I am ill so I have it off as a sick day.

Water Usage 230L a day

Water Usage

After 5 years living in Australia I have just received my first water bill. Thankfully, it is not for the past 5 years but only this quarter as it seems that this landlord wont pay for my water usage anymore. Bloody Recession.

V Festival

It has been a long time since I have posted anything so here is a rundown. I have been in two earthquakes in Melbourne, one which knocked me off my feet and the other whilst I was baking on the balcony which gave me a shock. We have also had several after shocks but they were only minor.

Alex Kidd at chasers melbourne

Alex Kidd

Alex was in Melbourne this weekend playing Chasers on Chapel Street. I live just around the corner from this club but have never been into it so it was a nice suprise to see him playing there. He was playing from 3.30 to 5.30am so it was a very late night for me. I think I am a bit old for 6am+ nights.

australian passport

Citizenship Test

I took my citizenship test for immigration to Australia and passed with a score of 90% and I managed to complete it under 4mins when I had 45mins. I felt a bit sorry for the people who were already doing the test when I walked into the room and then 5mins later I was gone.

Melbourne 44 degrees

44 Celsius Heat Wave

What a crazy week in Melbourne. Temperatures hit 44ºC which to Europe is around 111.2ºF. At 5.52am the temperature was 31.8. I woke up to find my water bed had burst a leak and then remembered I don't have a water bed! LOL
