Leeds Power Surge
I have been commuting now for four days from Manchester to Leeds and it has got harder as the week progressed. After commuting for 4 days I decided to stay in Leeds on Thursday night at the hotel I stayed in last week.
Train to Leeds
After spending last week in a hotel in Leeds I thought I would try and commute from Manchester as my parents are away so it is nice and quiet here.
Week 1 in Leeds
I have been in Leeds this week working for the first time since i left Australia over 3 months ago. I can not complain as the holiday had to come to an end and I am working for a very good company. It is a bit strange being suited and booted but I can ditch the jacket next week and it is dress down Friday tomorrow.
Back to work
After over 3 months off work I saw an opportunity that I had to grab with both hands and I applied for a role with the 3rd largest company in the world and I start on Monday :) yeah.
Power Outage
I know England is in debt and struggling to find money to pay for vital services but last night was a big shock. At round midnight Whitefield was plunged into darkness, some streets were back on within minutes but the rest had to wait for around 20 minutes before power was restored.
Pret A Manger
I have been keeping myself busy the past week but at the moment I can not say anymore than that. I can however tell you that after a meeting I had this morning I headed into the place I have missed a lot since I left England, Pret A Manger.
Spanish Plume
The last two days in England has seen glorious weather with temperatures reaching 30C in places. It is expected to change this afternoon with a cool change and some showers. The weather reports and the news are all reporting a NHS hotline for advice on how to cope during the 'heatwave'.
MacBook Pro
I have been lucky with my first two days back in Manchester as the rain stayed away and the sun was out. It is not warm here but if you have ever lived in rainy Manchester you appreciate a dry day as if it was an Indian summer.
Back in Manc
I came back from Spain very early this morning using EasyJet and looking around at the passengers I started to wonder what percentage of passengers are first time flyer's as there were a lot of clueless people on-board.
