Last weekend my parents and I were looking after my nephew whilst my sister was in Majorca for a wedding. The weather was stunning again so we bundled him in the car and took a trip to St Annes to meet my grandparents.
For anyone who does not know, St Annes is home of the quintessentially English seaside holiday where you can enjoy an ice cream or take the kids for a paddle or a donkey ride. I have been going here all my life as my grandparents live here and it always brings back great memories.
If you have not heard of the place I highly recommend looking it up but I am sure you have heard of its noisy neighbour, Blackpool.
We spent a lovely day at the beach going on lots of rides and walking down the promenade and I even ventured onto the trampolines at one stage. I must confirm we did not go on any donkey rides.
