Cancelling Foxtel
I have started to give notice on some services and Thursday was Foxtel night. I am always hesitant about contacting them as from past experience they always make a mistake and cut me off early. A good example was when I came out to Australia from England and the electricity was terminated 3 days earlier than arranged, and to make it worse I was working on my computer at the time.
Back to Manchester
I have decided after careful consideration to take a long and overdue holiday as my last was all way back in August 2008 so YES I will be returning for the start of next month.
Wooloot Watch
I finally got my replacement Wooloot watch, well I say replacement I had to pay for a new one. For a product which is supposed to come with a lifetime warranty I was not happy when it broke within a week but even worse was the lack of response from Wooloot by email or twitter.
Flash Floods
Melbourne has been hit with flash floods after Yasi hit Queensland and then travelled inland which has seen the build up in moisture spreading south causing flooding in many areas.
Australia Day
It is Australia Day here in Australia which is stating the bleeding obvious but I was asked yesterday if England have a public holiday which makes absolutely no sense at all. I put that down to the heat, all strange behaviour is put down to the heat, lack of water or suffering from abuse of alcohol, I use the first two often.
January Update
I have just realised that I have not posted anything in 2011. I know, it is a disgrace but here I am confirming that I am still here, alive and breathing.
NYE 2010
Melbourne as usual has decided to give us a scorcher on new years eve so I spent the day at Brighton Beach which has become a bit of an Australian NYE ritual. Thankfully this year it was not as windy as previous years so I was able to spend a relaxing 5 hours chilling and listening to the waves crashing against the shore.
Brighton Beach
I love the English Xmas football schedule where it is none stop football, 11.45pm, 2am, 4.45am and 7am games means lots of late nights and early starts. Manchester City have started this hectic period with two wins out of two making me a very happy chappy.
Corrie 50 Years
I have just watched last weeks fiftieth anniversary week of Coronation Street or Corrie as it has been dubbed by the fans. Australia are about 2-3 months behind England and I just did not want to wait so I downloaded the entire week and I was pleasantly surprised about how enjoyable it was, despite the three deaths but we did have one birth and a wedding to balance it out.
