Sweet Shop
I upgraded my return journey from economy to business after I price matched them against Etihad and got Emirates to reduce the cost by 50%. This meant my luggage allowance increased from 30kg to 40kg plus I had just got enough air miles from the first leg to become a silver member (again) and that gave me another 12kg.
Manchester Reunion
I landed back in Manchester around nine in the evening minus my suitcase which somehow did not manage to make the connection. I was at the conveyer belt waiting for my case and I got a text from British Airways saying my suitcase had not made the connection.
Leaving Melbourne
My bags are all packed and are being loaded onto the airplane. I am sat in the Cathay Pacific lounge having a coffee and waiting to leave Melbourne for Hong Kong. All three bags went without an extra charge so that was a bonus.
Packing Up
I have just woken up to a beautiful day with hot air balloons floating past my balcony, it happens every weekend as they land just opposite my flat, I can not get them all in one shot but believe me there are loads. I noticed a few weeks ago someone had put up a silver pole which ruins my view. The weather is predicted to hit 29 today so looks like it is another beach day yeah and Monday is a pubic holiday as it is FA cup weekend :)
XMAS 09
This is the amazing christmas present I got from my boss, the red chocolate box is from the company I work for. He knows I am not a big drinker so he went to the English shop and got me some goodies to remind me of home. I had banned myself from going there due to my weight gain as I was finding it harder to fasten my shirts around my belly but what the hell, its XMAS.
Freedom vs IKEA
I finally managed to get someone with a car to take me to IKEA, I do not think I have been inside an IKEA store since I left Leeds University and to be honest, I am not sure I would ever go back.
