I have not been doing much all week apart from nursing my finger. Last Thursday I was wiping down the oven when I sliced the top of my finger, I have been in pain for 10days now. If it was not on the tip of my right hand finger it would have healed a long time ago. read more
Friday Night I went on a office pub crawl around Fitzroy. On Sunday I went to the football to see Melbourne Victory play Adelaide United in the final. We had already won the league and the top four all then play for the grand final. read more
This weekend was ANZAC day and for the first time since I came to Australia it fell on a weekend so we missed out on a public holiday. Another amazing weekend for sport, great win for City and remarkable comeback for United to complete my quadruple accumulator :) After a hard 3 weeks I am now very close to finishing off my flex enhancements for the Do Not Call Register. This week my sister gave birth to a very cute baby boy which instantly made me an Uncle for the first time, I am not sure if this means I am supposed to become responsible but I have started to think about getting his room ready for when he comes out backpacking. I rented a car this weekend and drove down the coast to the which is just over an hours drive out of Melbourne City. I've just come home from the football where Melbourne was playing in the Semi-Final against Adelaide United. Knowing a draw would not be enough for Victory, Robinson secured the win in the dying stages of the match, sending the Telstra Dome crowd into a frenzied celebration. read more

I have redone the website removing most tables and images and replacing them with CSS. What a start to the new year, My first derby on my big screen. Albert Riera did a great job on the left of City's midfield and Manchester City took the derby-day honours with 3 goals. Trevor Sinclair put City ahead with a neat turn and shot after Joey Barton's cross was not properly cleared, and a cool Darius Vassell finish made it 2-0. Last night equaled the hottest night ever in Melbourne History. It was 34 degrees Celsius the entire night and at 9AM it had only dropped to 30. The only other time that temperatures have gone over 40 degrees Celsius and not dropped below 34 degrees Celsius during the night was in February 1902. They are predicting the temperature will rise again to 40 degrees Celsius today before a cool change comes in later this afternoon so at least tonight is expected to be cool. read more
