Day: 1029 31st January 2007 little britain live

Monday night I went to the Metro Club to see Lilly Allen play minus one band member who was refused entry in to Australia. Last night I saw and I can not describe how amazing that was. I was sat four rows from the front which was very scary when they came into the audience to grab people on stage and the guy in front of me was dragged up and then humiliated. read more

Day: 478 29th July 2005 live chat

What an end to the week, everyone has been so busy working on a new project that I was left to build a chat application for travellers to be featured on the lonely planet website.   After a successful launch most of the team had bloody maries but as it was only 8am and I still had a busy day ahead I declined and instead headed upstairs to the cafe for a coffee and some toast. It is sleep sleep sleep for me this weekend. read more

Day: 361 3rd April 2005 one year

It has nearly been a year since I left England (not counting the brief trip back home) and it has flown. The heat here is now getting to much for me, I have just woken up after falling asleep with my jeans on and now I am dripping.

The king of pop has died; I remember going to see Michael Jackson in his first concert in Spain which was more than 20 years ago in Marbella, Spain. I was there with more than 28,000 fans in the town's municipal stadium in August 1988 as part of his 'Bad World Tour', I was only 14 at the time and I remember doing a lot of queuing around the stadium in the heat and my brother having a telephone directory to stand on , he did not come on until the evening but when ... read more

What a crazy week in Melbourne. I woke up to find my water bed had burst a leak and then remembered I don't have a water bed! Day: 1004 7th January 2007 very very hot

The past week here in Melbourne the weather has been between 90 and 100 making it a very sweaty week. On Friday it reached 102 and the air con at work broke down, so Friday morning was unbearable at work. The drought is getting worse and to give an exampe of how much water has been lost, the rivers are now dry and they are revealing weapons that people discarded years ago, I think some criminals will be a bit worried this week. read more

Day: 257 21st December 2004 cat attack

I was sat last night watching TV in the dark when I noticed something moving in the corner of my eye. When I stood up the cat turned around and must have got the shock of its life and it bolted towards the balcony door and onto the balcony never to be seen again. Now I know that leaving my balcony door open is leaving me at risk to certain insects, but I always expected to see flying things rather than a four legged animal coming through the door. read more
