Day: 579 8th November 2005 leaving vegas

We have left Vegas but it was not as straight foward as we hoped. First we turned up at the airport and found the flight had been moved earlier so we missed the first flight. We ran back to the gate and they pushed us on the flight which was leaving but I discovered at that point my boarding ticket was in the name of Somon , we kept quiet , they didnt check and so we finally managed to leave Vegas minus our luggage which was on the 1st flight. read more

Day: 257 21st December 2004 cat attack

I was sat last night watching TV in the dark when I noticed something moving in the corner of my eye. When I stood up the cat turned around and must have got the shock of its life and it bolted towards the balcony door and onto the balcony never to be seen again. Now I know that leaving my balcony door open is leaving me at risk to certain insects, but I always expected to see flying things rather than a four legged animal coming through the door. read more

I am now finally an Australian 1975 days after leaving England and what a great night it was. People from over 20 different countries became Australians tonight and I was only one of three people from the UK. Day: 883 8th September 2006 stopover

I have just landed in dubai, I had just written a huge blog update but as I posted it the wi-fi crashed leaving me with no blog entry. I am sat in the longue in Dubai waiting for my next flight to Singapore, the flight was ok, a bit bumpy in parts and at one point all the trays were crashing around us which did make me a bit scared. I had a much better time this time than last time and I think going to Marbella played a big part. read more

Day: 2137 13th February 2010 baby moss

This week my sister gave birth to a very cute baby boy which instantly made me an Uncle for the first time, I am not sure if this means I am supposed to become responsible but I have started to think about getting his room ready for when he comes out backpacking. I have 18 years notice but I bet I leave it all to the last minute :) I have seen some very cute clothes for the newborn, they start UGG boots at 3 months but as I have not checked my Euro lottery ticket for the £113,... read more

Alex Kidd VS Kidd Kaos
What a crazy week here in Melbourne, I have been working days and nights to get some code ready for a release last Saturday and Alex Kidd was in town with his entourage playing against Kidd Kaos who I had never heard play before and it was great night.
I got about 5 hours sleep on Wednesday and Thursday night and planned to leave the office around 2pm on Friday so I could go home and get some sleep before meeting up with Alex.   Although at one point some ... read more

Day: 1452 29th March 2008 green mash

This is what I like to call , it won't turn you into the hulk but tastes good. When I returned the potatoes were overcooked and i just had to mash the lot together. You can mash whatever you like, I have even had carrots in there but I do not generally like red things as they leave a nasty taste in my mouth. read more

On Tuesday I left Lonely Planet after over 2 and half years working there. We went out for a drink on Tuesday for my farewell party and I got a Manchester City farewell card and an 8GB memory disc, you can never have enough memory discs. I got my new couch and coffee table delivered on Wednesday, apart from a slight hicup when the delivery man came with no help and expected me to help carry it into my flat, it was completed with little hassle. read more

Day: 988 22nd December 2006 burnt arm

Last night I was making some duck and I ran out of disposable dishes so I placed the duck on some tin foil wrapped around an oven tray. When I took the duck out of the oven, all the juices ran off the tin foil and down my arm. Pain I can not describe shot up my arm and I then spent the rest of the evening putting layers of pain relief gel on. read more
